2022 - San Diego, CA

2022 District 8 AALAS Meeting

The Southern California, San Diego, and Hawaii AALAS branches are proud to host
the 2022 D8 meeting May 23-25 in sunny San Diego!

Our Tuesday Keynote Speaker will be  Dr. Cindy Buckmaster of the GetReal! Podcast!

Dr. Buckmaster developed a very deep connection with Danny, a monkey she worked with in her own research many years ago. She made a promise to Danny that changed the trajectory of her life's mission - that she would spend her life fighting for compassionate reform in animal research and testing, striving for a day when animals are truly no longer needed for biomedical progress.

With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Buckmaster has been directly involved in nearly every aspect of animal research and she has the courage and conviction to be transparent about all of it.

Marc Hulin, 2022 National AALAS President will be our Wednesday Keynote Speaker and our closing ceremony host

The location is at Liberty Station Conference Center, 2600 Laning Road, San Diego, CA  92106.

There is no set hotel as of now since the event will be taking place in a large conference center, this was done to circumvent issues with room minimums that may come up because of COVID.
